Bhagavad Gita 11.8
न तु मां शक्यसे द्रष्टुमनेनैव स्वचक्षुषा | दिव्यं ददामि ते चक्षुः पश्य मे योगमैश्वरम् ||
na tu māṁ śakyase draṣṭum anenaiva sva-cakṣuṣā | divyaṁ dadāmi te cakṣuḥ paśya me yogam aiśvaram ||
Translation
But you are not able to see me with this very eye of your own. I give you a divine eye. Behold my supreme power.

What kind of sight would you have to be given to see what you are asking to see?

A limit is placed before the gift is given. You will not be able to see me with this eye of your own. Anenaiva sva-cakshusha. The natural eye, even at its best, has a range it cannot exceed. Then the gift. Divyam dadami te chakshuh. I give you a divine eye. Pashya me yogam aishvaram. Behold my yoga of sovereign power. The verse names the structure of the rest of the chapter. What Arjuna is about to see is not an upgrade to ordinary vision but a different organ of seeing, granted by the same one who is to be seen. The vision is itself a grace before the vision begins. The eye must be made before the form can register. The next word is Sanjaya's.
