Bhagavad Gita 6.10
योगी युञ्जीत सततमात्मानं रहसि स्थितः | एकाकी यतचित्तात्मा निराशीरपरिग्रहः ||
yogī yuñjīta satatam ātmānaṁ rahasi sthitaḥ | ekākī yata-cittātmā nirāśīr aparigrahaḥ ||
Translation
A devotee should constantly devote his self to abstraction, remaining in a secret place, alone, with his mind and self restrained, without expectations, and without belongings.

The instructions are spare. A quiet place. By himself. Mind held. No appetites running ahead. No collected possessions tethering him. Five conditions, and none of them ask for anything exotic. They ask only that the noise be turned down and the leaning forward be set aside. The phrase that does the most work is constantly. Not once a day at a chosen hour, but as the continuous background of what he does. The seat in the secret place is the formal training ground. What the verse is pointing toward is a quality the man eventually carries into the marketplace.
