Bhagavad Gita 6.47
योगिनामपि सर्वेषां मद्गतेनान्तरात्मना | श्रद्धावान्भजते यो मां स मे युक्ततमो मतः ||
yoginām api sarveṣāṁ mad-gatenāntar-ātmanā | śraddhāvān bhajate yo māṁ sa me yukta-tamo mataḥ ||
Translation
And even among all devotees, he who, being full of faith, worships me, with his inmost self intent on me, is esteemed by me to be the most devoted.
Reflection
Where inside you has the orientation toward what you love come quietly to rest, even if no one outside has noticed?
Read this verse in its chapter: Chapter Six
The chapter ends by going one step higher than the verse before it. Even among yogis, there is one who is held closest. He is the one whose inner self has turned toward Krishna, who carries faith inside him, and who worships from that place. The marker is internal, not external. It is not how long he sits, not how many disciplines he keeps, not how much he has read. It is where the inside of him has come to rest. That orientation, quietly held, is what Krishna names as the highest degree of yoga. The whole long chapter has been the road to this single, soft sentence.
