Bhagavad Gita 10.25
महर्षीणां भृगुरहं गिरामस्म्येकमक्षरम् | यज्ञानां जपयज्ञोऽस्मि स्थावराणां हिमालयः ||
maharṣīṇāṁ bhṛgur ahaṁ girām asmy ekam akṣaram | yajñānāṁ japa-yajño'smi sthāvarāṇāṁ himālayaḥ ||
Translation
Among the great seers I am Bhṛgu. Among words I am the one syllable Om. Among sacrifices I am the sacrifice of japa. Among immovables, the Himālaya.

Four more, and now the catalogue turns toward the practitioner's own resources. Bhrigu among the great seers, the single syllable Om among words, japa-yajna among sacrifices, the Himalaya among the immovable. The middle two items are the ones the listener can carry into the next morning's practice. The single syllable that holds all speech, and the sacrifice that consists of soft repetition. By placing these two in the catalogue Krishna gives the contemplative a way in that needs no apparatus. The mountain at the end is not pious decoration. It anchors the list back into a particular geography. Krishna is among the Himalayas the way He is among the seers and the way He is in the syllable. The same source, three different scales, all available.
