Bhagavad Gita 3.24
उत्सीदेयुरिमे लोका न कुर्यां कर्म चेदहम् । सङ्करस्य च कर्ता स्यामुपहन्यामिमाः प्रजाः ॥
utsīdeyur ime lokā na kuryāṃ karma ced aham | saṅkarasya ca kartā syām upahanyām imāḥ prajāḥ ||
Translation
These worlds would perish if I did not perform action; I should be the author of confusion of castes, and I should destroy these people.

Three consequences, named in a cascade. The worlds collapse. Confusion of order, saṅkara. The destruction of beings. Krishna takes responsibility for what would happen if he stopped. Upahanyām imāḥ prajāḥ, I would have killed these people. The hyperbole is doing real work: the divine is naming itself as load-bearing, and using that to ask the student to recognize that his own work, smaller in scale, has the same shape.
