Bhagavad Gita 8.10
प्रयाणकाले मनसाचलेन भक्त्या युक्तो योगबलेन चैव | भ्रुवोर्मध्ये प्राणमावेश्य सम्यक्स तं परं पुरुषमुपैति दिव्यम् ||
prayāṇa-kāle manasācalena bhaktyā yukto yoga-balena caiva | bhruvor madhye prāṇam āveśya samyak sa taṁ paraṁ puruṣam upaiti divyam ||
Translation
At the time of departure, with a steady mind, joined to devotion and to the power of yoga, having fully fixed the life-breath between the eyebrows, he reaches that supreme divine being.

The technique is set down. At the moment of departure, mind held steady, devotion intact, by the power of yoga the whole breath gathered and fixed between the brows, the meditator reaches the one just described. The instruction is specific. There is no improvisation at the last hour. The yogi who has practised has trained the breath and the attention to gather to a single point on command, and the practice is what makes the dying composure possible. The unprepared man cannot do this. The verse assumes the preparation. It is telling Arjuna what becomes available to the man who has done the training, and quietly making the case for doing it.
